At the Dock

Shortly after the train emerged, Cid walked out with a clipboard and pieces of paper, visor down ready to inspect the train in question. He was incredibly devoted to the whole thing, so much so, he wanted nothing, nothing at all to go wrong. He went by car by car to see how each one was both in integral strength and in coupling.

He was so focused on this that nothing would break him out of his concentration. But deep down he was giddy and happy like you wouldn't believe.

At the Dock

Rikku had told Yuna when to arrive for the actual departure, and had then gone ahead to poke at the train a bit. While the project had started out as a joint thing, Cid had wound up doing a lot of the work...but that didn't mean the Al'Bhed girl wasn't attached!

At the moment, she was half-under the engine, peering around at the gears and wheel runners and stuff. And she was humming to herself.

Cid managed to walk, looking over his check list and wouldn't you know he didn't see Rikku underneath the train. Good thing he managed to bump and trip falling face first onto the floor.

Cid rubbed his nose in pain and looked back seeing a pair of legs. The blond asked, "Rikku? Is-Is that you? Are you alright?

After a few seconds Rikku shifted a bit and slid herself out from under the train, peering up at Cid.

"Huh? I'm fine! I was just looking at the stuff under here."
