Gabranth, however, was very much opposed to nursing a glass of liqour and emptied his first glass swiftly, pouring another right after. Finally settling, he sipped his glass of liqour and sighed lightly, watching the crackling fire. It was tiring to even sit here and think about what an idiot he'd been, and while Larsa was clearly in no mood to talk, he couldn't bring himself to question him about just what was wrong. Normally, with Larsa in this mood, Gabranth would question him until they had sorted out what was wrong or at least until Larsa felt better about everything. However, this evening he was feeling perhaps a little too self-loathing to bother pressuring his lord into spilling his feelings.

Instead, he opted for silence, though he would never ignore Larsa if he spoke to him. He just didn't really want to probe him for reasons to talk tonight. If they talked, they talked. If not, he was fine to drink in silence and just head to bed later on. This night had gone from a high to an all time low so quickly.

Gabranth sighed, knocking back his drink before letting his gaze wander to Larsa. "Whatever for? I can agree with your late Lord Brother that the woman is a shrew," he murmured in reply, his voice thankfully devoid of the bitterness he was feeling. He poured another drink, shifting in his seat to watch the fire again. He didn't know just what Larsa would need to apologise for but, in his experience, Lady Ashelia was a shrill, irritating, self-righteous woman who didn't know when she was being given the right options. Honestly, while he didn't enjoy carrying nethicite for the simple fact that he could rely on himself, he agreed, just enough, that were the Occuria gone from Ivalice then they'd be able to run their own lives without them lording over them and determining their fates. He just wouldn't voice that aloud ( ... )
