Money. That's all it was about in the end. Money, and having as much of it as possible. Of course, sometimes money didn't look the way you expected it to. It had been a long day. Way too long. The investigation had been strange, and it wasn't done. It was nowhere near done, and there would be a whole lot of long days in his future.

Tony threw his wallet on the passenger's seat, shifted his gun so it didn't dig into his side. Keys in the ignition, radio on loud and he was done. Heading home to a beer and maybe a movie. Perfect night after a day like this.

John didn't move right away, but god that music was awful. He was still for as long as he could stand, waiting for a red light and then slowly sitting up, careful not to block the rear view until he was ready to strike.

The gun was aimed at the back of the other man's head before the light could even turn green. Reaching, he took the other man's weapon as he spoke.

"Make the next left... or I'll blow your brains all over the dashboard," John said casually. "That sound like a fair deal?"

"Okay." Tony tensed, trying not to jump, his fingers digging into the wheel. "Look, you want the money, take the money."

He took the next left though, slowing down, a bit, not a lot, but a bit.

"Well, thank you, I'll be sure to help myself to your wallet after we're done," John replied with a smirk. "Turn right at the end of this block," he instructed, pressing the muzzle of the gun against the other man's neck.
