You'd think being stuck in the TARDIS would get boring but it doesn't

Even when Andy is off doing things with the Doctor, I find ways to amuse myself. This afternoon, for instance, while Andy was off taking care of some personal business in Cardiff and the Doctor was off doing Doctor like things, I found online shopping. Twenty first century online shopping is so different from fifty first century online shopping. ( Read more... )

This http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/slideshow/F2008RTW-VWESTWOOD/ leads to a slideshow that may be of interest. T, just wear what suits you rather than trying to please everyone else. But not the 42nd C. That's too much even for Hart.

The clothing is lovely and interesting but the makeup on the models? At least I hope that's makeup. If it isn't, Earth is being invaded by the Tyrell and that just can't be good.

BTW, has anyone ever worn these == things == off the runway? I can think of several species that might look okay in them but none of them resemble humans.

Srsly. Silver leggings with holes in the knee. How long did it take her to come up with that one?

Fashion never changes. They're all insane in the 51st century, too. Galliano's just the tip of the iceberg.

Full mesh bodysuits always give me pause. Why are they here? Do they mean us harm? What purpose do they serve? Other than making us LOL.

I knew Galliano couldn't be a normal 21st Century Human. He's a colourblind alien, isn't he?

That last picture's like what would happen if Hart's clothing mated with an exotic peasant from a romance novel. By now his clothing can probably procreate on its own, can't it....

Galliano is a Rift-surviving alien. He can't go to Freak Island because he's not from your century. Plus, you know, alien. It would upset the other inmates.

If Hart's clothing can procreate, he needs to find a better tailor. Autogamous clothing shouldn't be around until the early 59th. And that fad only lasts a few years. Which is why I never bothered to invest.

But you have piqued my curiosity. I wonder if Martha could be prevailed upon to wear some lovely Russian peasant clothing to find out the impact it might have on him. For purely scientific research, of course.

Plus Galliano'd get upset when they nommed the curtains.

I know the impact Martha in costume would have on me.

I'll work on it.

Aren't they just? The second one suits you, Martha. You could go out with Hart and you two would look like such a charming pair!

Shopping is a very rewarding thing to do. I should ask some of those swimsuit models to nip around to the TARDIS.

As for Galliano, alien or not, he's getting a taste of my handbag if I run into him!

That is most gracious of you, your Highness. I look forward to meeting them and possibly finding something in their wares to model on myself later.

Please, though, let Torchwood handle Galliano if he gets out of hand. He's not dangerous and I am afraid your handbag might be worse than a simple shot to the face for him. His is a sensitive soul. He was an artist in his original life, then the Rift got hold of him while he was on a short journey of exploration in Cardiff. He emerged back home, physically intact but shaken to the core. Despite his journey through the Rift saving him a great deal on his return trip spacefare, what he saw affected his eye for beauty. I hope he never enters Cardiff again but if he does, Torchwood is aware of the problem and on constant lookout for him. Thank you for understanding.

Don't worry dear, it's all in the wrist. I have complete control over my handbag at all times.
