Every year, there are certain recipes that I usually make at least once. Come fall, it used to be my friend's (RIP) stew. Years ago, I stopped making it, but I miss it.

The first "cold" snap is here, and I really crave her stew. Why can't I make it with white beans, and why didn't I think of this before?? Her stew

Made the soup last night, but with pre-cooked beans. The soup seemed to only taste like pure serano last night, but this morning, it seems to have lost move of it's flavor.

That said, it seems like an awful lot of liquid. I might try it again. I'll probably eat it, then use the extra liquid to cook my next batch of beans in.

Mmmm. I luvre me some beans. I think it's a texture thing for me at least.
