Yeah, she's not being very nice, is she? I'd feel sorry for him too. :(

Woohoo! Another installment of Nine!

You should put these stories on prescription for others with nine withdrawal!

...
After all, what purpose did advanced telepathic powers serve when there was no-one there to communicate with any more
...
Maybe, too, it was all part of his expectation that she’d leave some day. Just as they all left. Why give her the tools for the job if she was only going to walk out on him? What was the point?
...

I love how you write the ninth doctor, it's spot on, angsty but not overpoweringly so.

I'm so glad you're writing about Jack's missing memories, I could have yelled at the TV when they didn't explain it.

Hehehe a jealous doctor! I only hope he does something about it.

Fab!

So glad you like my portrayal of Nine! He's just so interesting for me to write, because of his grief, his angst and his so-obvious flaws. Not that Ten's flaws aren't starting to become painfully obvious, but his character isn't yet fully rounded for me.

I suspect, too, that Jack's memories will be dealt with later, either in Torchwood or next year in DW. I hope so, anyway!

Thanks for commenting!

Doc! Haha, I feel so sorry for the guy! I love this! It's got jealousy which is always good, but plot too! And am I right in thinking that because the memory wipe was rough around the edges, it's more likely to be unofficial?

But I'm gonna go have a look at what Jack said to Rose! Cannot wait for the next chapter :D

I wouldn't draw any conclusions about the memory-wipe just based on its being fuzzy around the edges - could equally be that the neuroscience behind it is relatively new and still being refined :)

As for what Jack said to Rose, it was this: "Shame you're taken." *grin*

Hrms, true, but it seems like if they were going to use it officially and nicely, they'd make sure the technology was good enough to be used. Y'know?

And yeah, I went and looked straight away! :D

Wow dramatic stuff. Rose really is upping the stakes. Oh I do hope the Doctor realises she's playing him, that she loves them both really. Great writing as always, can't wait for more :- )

Thank you very much! Problem is, you know what Nine's like when his jealous gene takes over. ;) He really can't seem to use the brains he's born with at that point.

More coming very soon! And thanks :)

Interesting how Rose tries playing the jealousy bit at the end. It's something that's very young and very Rose. What'll be more intersting is her reaction to his reaction, which I'm betting isn't going to be very pretty.

Well, the question is whose reaction comes first, and I think you might have seen that by now. ;) And, yes, Rose is being very young and naive here, which is a deliberate choice because it's how she does - or did, in Nine's season - behave at times. She might learn a lesson or two from it... ;)
