It is only the fear of going too far that stops him from swallowing down every last thread.
A moan leaves his lips as they part. He collapses onto his back and pants hard, twitching at the energy that streams through him.
“Anton,” he whispers, “Don’t leave me, don’t leave me. Stay.” He is half delirious from everything that has happened; Usoa, Jack, then dying and being brought back. But more important than anything…he is stable.
