I'm a sucker for stories about aging, and this one is so lovely. It's autumn and the boys are in the autumn of their lives. Don is still Don, worried about losing the one person who matters most to him, and Timmy is still Timmy, soothing Don's fears and promising they'll go out together. I like how they recall their lives, and you've left tantalizing glimpses of stories that I would love to see expanded. Hint, hint!
