And maybe dealing with Timmy's memories/flashbacks triggers the same in Donald because he was so traumatized by the thought of losing him and he keeps having awful dreams that take place in this AU and they end up tied up in a quivering knot together a lot and....

I'm still noodling at writing an aftermath story. I've got to ponder it a bit because I'm not sure where it would go. We'll see.

I am thrilled you enjoyed this little descend into the dark. *laughs* I was half waiting for a mob with pitchforks and torches after I posted it.

No, you've beta'd the rest I believe. This one snuck into my apartment yesterday and assaulted me with a pipe. Thus evil!Bronwyn came out to play.

Glad you liked!

Thank you! I certainly enjoy doing it. Though, it does make the "so what do you do when you're not at work?" conversation somewhat awkward when meeting new people. Because when they're expecting "Oh, I play golf/volunteer at the library/go for long walks on the beach" or something, people's brains tend to hiccup when they get "I write homosexual fanfiction online for the joy and pleasure of others."

That grinding sound you hear is a paradigm shifting without a clutch.

I don't like you very much right now. You made me read this AND like it *sniffles* I feel the exact same way about my hubby. I KNOW I won't go on without him. I KNOW it. Donald (and me) just don't have it in us. So, so very sad. And beautiful. You are gifted.

Awww, Sonia! I'm sorry I made you sniffle! Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Sometimes dark bunnies eat my brain. I just found myself thoroughly intrigued by Donald's slow descent into vengeance. *pets Donald*

*hugs Sonia*

*HUGS Schnuffie tightly* Considering how much I traumatized myself with it, probably a good plan. If you ever decide to read it, let me know and I will be waiting with hugs and Kleenex.

Okay. So I'm going through a kind of emotional patch of my own right now, and I know I could not tolerate reading your story. But I also couldn't resist reading it. So I read it backward. Section by Section backward, but only up to where there's the sequence where Don finds Tim in the attic ( ... )

I'm up and awake now, so the fluff posting will commence presently. I knew this was going to be unexpectedly dark for this fandom - hence the rather emphatic author's note.

Grief on this kind of scale is huge and all-consuming. I just can't imagine Donald coping well with it a second time. He only managed the first time through the grace of God and the advent of Timmy.

Thanks for reading what you could and fluff ahoy!
