On one hand, Relic claimed that the DoW engine couldn't do 'nids numbers justice. On the the other hand, it's the only race left that has its own real flavor.
Unless it's going to be a subfaction of a faction already in DoW, Tyranids seem the most likely choice. Wouldn't mind the Sisters, though - it'd be nice to have more female voiceovers in DoW. :P
Yeah, I'm not real sure. Considering that they're talking stand alone expansion like Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, they might be able to tweak the engine enough to do Tyranids... though Relic has always kind of held it that they'd like to save that trump card for DOW2. Theoretically, they could do something like... a reflavor of the existing armies... like the Armageddon Steel Legion mod which was essentially IG but more focused on tank power, or like... a different flavor of space marines specific to a given chapter... but I'm more expecting an Inquisition army, given the game's title of Soulstorm. Something like a merger of Daemonhunters and Sisters of battle. Only time will tell though.
And of yeah. Aircraft. WTF. I can see it for IG and I can kinda see it for Space Marines and CHaos... but some of the other races like Necrons... what the hell are they gonna do for Aircraft? Or Anti-Air for that matter?
