I honestly can't believe I've had to do this much work for a character that isn't even mine. It's really quite silly. :P But anyway... I've put a bunch of little builds together for Nick's character based on different archetypes he's likely to encounter. I haven't done all the ones he'll probably need by a long shot, but... this is a start. I also ( Read more... )

That's one of the reasons why I wanted Nick and Tim (well, mostly Tim) to pre-build as many likely configurations as possible. I know that I'll have to make some as well, because I can't exactly tell them what I'm going to be throwing against your team, but the more of the basics that are covered ahead of time, the better.

Also, as long as Nick's not the one writing his character sheet, it should be clear, concise, and easy to understand. :)

I'm trying to think of what else I really need to build... I mean, the basic archetypes above cover a lot of what we're likely to encounter in the average super-hero game. Obviously the 'passive scan mode' would probably be useful, and something for anti-sneaky, but outside of that I'm not sure...

Interesting Sidenote however, I realized that with his set up, Nick could actually go all magical on the Bad Guys by way of taking the appropriate skills and the Ritualist Feat to start creating magical relic type devices. XD That's something I Probably wouldn't let him do though, even if it is funny.

Oh BELIEVE ME, I've considered the whole Nick staring dumbfounded... and honestly, if it were entirely up to me, I would have built him something ultra-super simple with a general point this at the enemy and fire interface, but he really wanted to try, and honestly, it's a pretty interesting build which is why I've actually enjoyed building the character. Now... on the other hand, the use of Nemesis... yes, it will be a bitch, and that's especially why I've put the effort into creating various anti-x builds and even listing tactics for them. THat way all Nick has to do is read a sheet of paper that tells him what he's allowed to do and how to do it best and not really have to think exactly. Besides, because Nemesis is uncontrolled it's not like he has a choice. I imagine Rob will just tell him to get out the sheet for Ant-Brick or whatever and Nick will just have to read my little strategy primers and go forward from there.
