Eeee, kitties passed out from play. <3

And woo, miniature's heartbeats! I get all wide-eyed when I touch a pregnant lady's abdomen and the baby kicks, so I can only imagine what it's like to hear the heartbeat. *hug*

I've never been one for babies but I'm just really excited about this one. I'm already fulfilling my role as the weird overly invested aunt :)

I've heard The Wire called "the Great American Novel in TV form", and I'm digging that description.

I hadn't heard it described as that; makes a lot of sense, though. Having not read many (if any) G.A.Ns, the comparisons with Dickens strike more of a chord with me.
For me, praise of the show comes no higher than the fact that The Guardian put together and published their own guide to the series called "The Wire - A guide to the best series on television" and on the cover it had a quote from Charlie Brooker calling it "the best tv show since radio was invented". Pretty much sums it up for me :)
