I had actually resorted to holding a book up on the left hand side of the monitor (The Spn Book of Monsters, how appropriate)to cover all the icons in my flist. Typically, the one time I thought it safe to look, the book had been hiding said spoilery icon. *pokes Murphy's Law with a stick*
