So the show had to be "Laverne and Shirley" which is the only one I know that has "Shimmel, Shimazzel, Hossenpfer Incorporated" in the opening credits.

The show was a spinoff of "Happy Days" set in the 1950s about two girls who work in a brewery.

No, they were discussing an article about some contemporary show called Fauda, in which the author protested that some Jewish character was presented as a "schlemiel," with which some of the commenters disagreed.

If you were alive here in the 70's (or even the 80's or 90's...) you knew the phrase!
Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated! was the phrase the two women who worked in a beer factory always chanted at the beginning of the show (although neither the actors or the characters they played seemed 'Jewish' for what it's worth).
As for kids like me, not being Jewish, we sort of had the gist of what those words meant, but I really didn't know until much later.
