Oops, such an impatient hyacinth… and somebody else was impatient too

As I was having my walk in the late afternoon/early evening of yesterday (9 October), I was very surprised to spot this hyacinth in full bloom. We had had a few day of spring-like weather, but still… it was early February. The hyacinth didn’t look freshly planted, so it must have come into bloom on the spot. Hyacinths! Oh, how gorgeous.

And how early! I planted some hyacinth bulbs outside back in November, and they are just starting to put up tiny cautious shoots above the earth.

Very early indeed. It didn't snow seriously today, so I hope that hyacinth survives. :)

Too early, it's still winter.

Today was colder and there was a dusting of snow, but it didn't stick, so I hope that hyacinth survives.
