It may be September, but it's supposed to be 102 degrees here this week...which I'm guessing is probably going to break records.

That's almost 39C... ouch!

But we've had it even a little worse during the worst heat waves this summer.

Yeah, Portland summers are about 10 degrees warmer than Seattle! I'm not happy about it, but we have air conditioning here & didn't have it for all those years in Seattle!

35C at eight pm! Oh, my... I think the hottest temperatures we've had this summer have been around 27-28 degrees during the day, and that was plenty hot enough for me.

Old Man's Beard, we call the fluffy clematis seeds - he looks to be growing a very fine beard in your pictures.

How about 39C? Or maybe even 40 at the hottest time of day? :)

It's not that I enjoy our heat waves; I don't know how I even survive them, but I don't think I would feel comfortable in your climate either.

Wow, we don't call fluffy clematis seeds anything interesting here, but they are very deeply impressed in my childhood memories, and I always associate them with autumn. :)
