like most people in this town i live in a row house made of brick, which soundproofs about as well as a chain link fence. took quite a while getting used to constant next door commotion; neighbor doors sound just like they're opening and closing them in here half the time, din of flushing toilets, kids screaming, music, coughing all night now that we're all dying of flu. but of it all i would never complain about their shower noise. in the mornings it sounds just like gentle rain, which is so soporific i can only wish it wasn't at 7 each morning when i have to be up. tell this pacifist girl she can move in next to me.

by the way, that whole scenario is fairly racy. i for one had no idea girls' dorms were so lubricious.

I love the sound of water just as much as the next person, but not the shower running literally right next to my head a paper's thickness away.

And I think it would only seem racy to a male. Or at least at the time I didn't feel like it was at all. The thought that she might be bothered I had seen her naked didn't even occur to me until I noticed she had moved out.
