There's a little band that hails from Portland, Oregon--they are headed by an English major-type who's got a cute prepubescent crack to his voice and a kinda blue-collar-ee accent when he sings. And all the people who come and go within this band play, like, a kabuhjillion instruments including some that I can't pronounce

It gets creepier every time I hear it.

So far, I think I'm more instinctively drawn to Picaresque - maybe I just like the sound better - but Crane Wife comes a close, close second. Love.
