A friend of mine sent me a link to a YouTube video of "One Winged Angel" where they--I expect there's a word for this but I don't know it--just list the lyrics as they hear them and not as they actually are, so the lyrics come out as hilarious nonsense. Plus there's an illustration of Daffy Duck as Sephiroth.

Yes, there IS a word: mondegreen! It comes from someone mishearing "laid him on the green" as "Lady Mondegreen."

My favorite is the Hendrix lyric, "Scuze me, while I kiss this guy."
