Yeah. Fooling around with the style again.

Just felt like trying something new. I like the minimalist layout, but I wish I could mix and match bits and pieces. For example, I'd love to have this in a different color, but keep the nifty numbers and reply button (it now says "Talk to me!", which I thought was fun). And have the links for friends' page, user info, etc. as tabs across the top ( Read more... )

I just read your NaNo thingy! It makes me think of HP minus the cheese. I like how there is a darker edge to it too despite its rather hopeful beginning. I'm curious about Siobhan's abilities why one cannot touch her--though after reading her reaction to the church I can't help but wonder if she can see beyond the veil so to speak.

I really loved the descriptions and the history about young Duff heh He sounds like such a nice fellow I hope he remains throughout the tale. Am curious to about the Corner House and what life is like in there. I thought it was cool how you introduced mythological characters as part of the world (young Duff) how its almost an every day occurrence.

I found this excerpt to be rather intriguing to say the least. You really know how to take your readers into this world and I hope that you will be posting more of it soon!T

Thanks for your comments on the excerpt. It is a little like HP, but also like X-men/Heroes in the fact that most of the mages have a specific "magick(s)"that they control (or don't control, as the case may be).

Your comment about Siobhan seeing "beyond the veil" is very astute. She is a seer in the manner of 'see-er', able to see more than normal people in several different ways. I have sort of tweaked an Irish legend to suit her background.

Hm. I hadn't thought of young Duff as a 'real' giant a la Narnia's giants... just as an extremely large, strapping man compared to his fellows. I'll have to ponder that some more; it's an interesting thought!

Thank you for the compliments on my writing! I hope I can continue to build my world and make it clear. That's the hardest part of original fiction; building the world. Fan fiction can let a writer off easy in that way.

Ooh I like that idea!! I've only seen a little bit of Heroes but I do love X-men XD

Nice!! I just thought her reaction was due ot the fact she could see the dead...Though I'm curious about the legend that you speak of...Is she like oh gosh i'm not sure the name but she can see when people are going to die type thing?

^^;; I guess I took giant as in literal lol Thats cool though I really like young Duff he just sounds so likable and kind ^^; I sorta envision a more intellectual fellow whose about Haggard (animal keeper from hp?) size ^^;

Oh no worries thank your for passing along the link it was a really good read I look forward to reading more =D
