No but seriously, British drivers are insane. She was in the lane for driver continuing forward and I was where the turning cars went. So she changes lanes at the last moment and drives straight into me. I flew , not far but my knee, which has been behaving itself for quite a few years is now again fucked up and my elbow is green-purple. The woman ( Read more... )

LMAO got me there:D

We'll see. I've messed up this same knee a couple of times before, but it doesn't feel as bad at the moment so fingers crossed that I'll only be sore a few days. I'm just happy I didn't hit my head and my ribs didn't break or get bruised. It was just really bizarre flying through the air thinking holy shit I got hit by a car!!!! The woman had three kids in the car with her and I think they'll be more traumatised than anything else. I just smiled at them and said I was fine when I got a ride to the station.

Well not far, but I was a few metres from the car when I finally got up. I'm lucky I had really thick clothes on, so I didn't get scratched up and it softened the impact a bit. I elbow is now super purple and my knee the size of a football, but it could have been worse.

*big hugz back*

OUCH!

Some people really shouldn't have a driving license, they're a menace on the road.

I hope the owies aren't too serious, hon. *hugs carefully*

She also ha 3 kids in the car so you'd think she'd be a bit more careful. This town is a bit insane though, really narrow streets, tons of traffic and not enough crossover places, although this was marked for pedestrians so she should have been a bit more attentive. I'm more pissed off about the knee than hurt. It's been messed up before and I've managed to keep it in good shape for quite a few years and now it'll probably take months before its even seminormal, but we'll see. I was able to walk all day, which is better than after a couple of falls in the past.

Wifey! What are you doing running around getting yourself hit by cars???

;)

I think I need to send Vigs your way to, like, massage your knee or something. Or if nothing else just to stand there and look pretty *g*

I hope you're not so sore tomorrow you can't get out of bed - I'll send all my good vibes your way.

Apparently keeping on the move yesterday was a good idea, and I did a few of the exercises my PH taught me back in the dark ages, so my knee is achey but not stuck. My side and butt, the side I landed on have only started getting sore now, we'll see how that goes. The knee and elbow got directly beat up by the car:)

Do not want a rematch!

We actually found a book market by the Thames yesterday and I consoled myself by flipping through a LOTR film book and staring at the ranger for a while. My other fave Brendan Fraser was staring at me from an ad on the side of half the double decker buses, so it wasn't all bad.

Thanks, I was able to get out of bed this morning which is a good sign. The good doctor would be much appreciated as would a certain ranger who has healing powers:D
