A Weekend of Firsts

I just had a really awesome weekend. In fact, it was so awesome that it took four days for me to recuperate and focus enough to churn out a blog entry about it. Seriously, I don't think I've ever been so exhausted in my life. >_<

Hi Mel,
Enjoyed your post as always, told so vividly in a you-are-there manner. I'm sure this trip will be a highlight in experiencing Japan. Love you, Grandpa

OMG, I can't stop laughing! Your tales are so funny - so much fun to read. Write more! Write a travel book! Keep it up!

On the motherly, more serious side - what are you NUTS, young lady! (just joking) I'm secretly envious that you have the guts to do so many adventurous things.

Thanks for the entertainment! Mom

Wow, sounds like you had an awesome weekend. And... monkeys!

And yay to trying new things :D I've never tried snowboarding, though I live in Colorado and have vacationed in the mountains a lot, because after about the umpteenth gazillion time I fell going down hills cross country skiing I decided falling ain't for me ^_^ Kudos to adventurous folks. And yes, altitude sickness = very, very miserable and extremely common for people visiting Colorado.

What a fun time, Mel. So many successful firsts! I love it. I would have loved the hot springs, I think. You know how much I love the hot tub. Did I ever tell you about the time my cousins tried to teach me to water ski? I tried about 20 times and couldn't stand up no matter what. I was so bruised and sore... sound familiar? I'm looking forward to our not-so-far-in=the-future trip! Lots of love, Linda
