I've never been especially afraid of needles (except at the dentist! Those are a great big effing NOPE!) but if you'd told me a couple of years ago I'd be running all over town *chasing down* someone to give me unnecessary shots, I'd have said you were bananas.

Wow! I had no idea that shot is rare anymore.

It's not "rare" but normally it's given to children so it's carried in pediatricians' offices. Most people don't go to the pharmacy for it like they might for the flu shot.

Oh. I go to Family Practice, so they give them right there. Not that I want one...I had my measles the old fashioned way...

Good to know you finally got your vaccine. I also find that smaller pharmacies tend to work better. My family and I have been going to this one pharmacist since I was born and he has never let us down. We tried Walgreens once too, regretted it, and never went back.

It’s interesting to me that you have that much choice in pharmacies. I have good health insurance generally, but my pharmacy plan is a different story. I have some choice between some big operations, but it would surprise me to learn I could use a small operation. I’m glad you got it sorted though!

What a mess! I'm glad you finally got the shot, but geez, no one should have to go through all that. I'm glad you persevered. This was a real wild goose chase!
