The film Troy came out when I was doing the Classics MA. The tutors in the group took great pleasure in reading excerpts of Iliad essays that mixed up Paris and Orlando, and Brad and Achilles, and someone called Jordan, all while having plagiarised an incorrect well-known website! XD

Yep. I was originally annoyed that I couldn't tutor, but after hearing these things (and other things that were quoted over the course of the year) I was SO GLAD I wasn't. I would not have the patience for kids who thought watching Troy was as good as reading the Iliad.

And if it's 5+ pages but in 13 point, 2.05 spaced, loosely kerned Courier, they won't get full points either. :-)

I hate grading.

Also, hi. NL coding but I can't resist a thread about failed page counts.

SO MANY failed page counts. Hopefully, they'll catch on and not do it for the final paper, because I will be grading much harder.

Based on my experience, they will not.

I did mention it in class, though. Hopefully they were listening.
