*nods* It's not often the future you imagine for your child, or the career you want them to go through... do things that you couldn't or wouldn't or didn't. :-/

And oh Joanna... though she's found this work (and Marie), it's now a lot less dangerous and she's a lot less likely to get murdered for doing it (I'd think). :)

And the loss in the last fic is really heartbreaking :(
