OMG, yes~!! Too many characters dilutes a show, IMO, and a show like Smallville really needs to focus on developing the main characters - Clark, Lex (his last season *wails*), Chloe and Lois

I'm more optimistic about this one. Of course that could be 'cause she does look a teeny bit like Tom Welling's cousin, or at least her cheekbones do. ;) I think this could be good if they flesh her character out and don't retract from the original cast members' character development. I was happy with the addition of Ollie, even if he more or less ended up as Lois' boytoy of the week, lol.

Hmm - it's not the actress I'm worried about, it's the character, really. I just hope she really comes across as a legitimate and realistic character - not really in the mood for a sexy-badass-i don't want to listen to my cousin-and-date Jimmy Olsen kind of girl.
And YES - I loved Ollie too! *bounces* Or perhaps Justin Hartley. Both. ;)
I THINK he's coming back - I've heard rumours but it wasn't up on Kryptonsite so I don't know whether it's been confirmed. Fingers crossed, anyhow.
