30 Day TV Show Meme - Part 1

Jeez, are there every so many--most thanks to some idiots over at FOX--but I'm going to have to go with one that first comes to mind every. single. time.
FIREFLY. Okay, yes, we got a movie out of it, but still people. This series was cancelled way too soon and, yes, it's still a bit upsetting even after all these years. Not only was this series created by Our Lord and Master the ever amazing Joss Whendon, who wrote the theme (that I still sing out loud every chance I get), but it encompassed an area of geekdom that previously was untouched in the medium of live action. Yes, we had tons of Sci-Fi shows and someone will point out either Trek or Wars, but this didn't just deal with the stuff in space, or the politics that went with it, but really showed the people who were caught up in it all, trying to find a new life for themselves, pioneers of the future. It didn't rely upon being futuristic and pointing it out to us with each scene. It encompassed cultures we already had, albeit advanced a slight bit, and made it seem natural. It was familiar, setting upon tones of our past, with new, interesting, and always exciting things.

Not to mention, full of really hot actors and actresses.
And really neat tech.
