First off, a very happy anniversary to xhollydayx and cynic51! I can't believe it's been a year since I stood up for my brother at his wedding. Such a great day and a great party! Can you guys renew your vows every 5 years or something to recreate the awesomeness, including the afterparty? Seriously, here's to you and many more years of happiness together

Visiting Alaska

Hey,
I love to read your adventures. My husband and I have gotten very into outdoor adventures recently, and I am inspired by yours. Actually, he and I would really like to visit Alaska, stay in a cabin, go whale watching, and do some hiking. When is the best time of year to go? We probably won't be able to make it this year due to my crazy schedule, but I am hoping next year. My plan is to save up and surprise him. We would be flying from San Francisco, so it's not too horribly expensive. If you have any advice on flights, time to visit, seat sales, etc. PLEASE let me know.

You are a MPH I am am epidemiologist, we both love exploring and adventures (though I am NO athlete), and I love to cook. Good luck on your marathon. I only wish I was strong enough to run a marathon. I would love to be there some day.
