Written for Round 6 of ncis_lfws and awarded equal first place, though that's not saying much since there were only two entries in total for this round. The prompt was to write a whump fic, but I'm not entirely sure what that is, so I just let my muse write what it wanted. Which, apparently, is another Somalia fic. Hrmm.

This was lovely. There is some really beautiful language in here, and I love the sense of foreboding that continues even up to the last sentence.
