Loving it so far. You really must have done this almost non-stop since 7x01 aired, and I certainly appreciate it. And you've honed in on one of my absolute favourite things about the ep : McGee and Tony's relationship. It was healthier than I've seen it for ages in that ep, and they really did seem like partners then, partners who actually would (and did) hang out outside work.

Not one mention of 'Probie' at all. :)

Thanks!

Don't know about non-stop, but there have been a few frenzied writing sessions over the past few days. :) Once I get an idea, I'm like a dog with a bone.

Was going to hold off posting more until tomorrow so I don't spam anyone, but if you want...

One particularly deft touch: the Charger--I assume "Dodge Charger", Tony's car?--feeds right into the disillusioned knight motif.

You assume correctly.

It's always interesting to see which bits people pick up on in what I write. I've always found it funny that Gibbs and co - especially Gibbs, who is often portrayed as the knight of the series - drive a Charger. Whether it was intentional or not on the part of the writers, I'm not sure, but I'd like to think so.

Or maybe it's the law enforcement car of choice (being ignorant about most things American) and I just read too much into things...
