[Gracie figured, she was better than nothing, even if she wasn’t a boy.] == Oh, this made me sad.

[They all looked funny, with matching clothes, like at her Catholic School. She wondered if they were Catholic, too.] == And this cracked me up. This was a nice observation from little Gracie.

[Then the black one came over and talked to her.] == And this one made me cringe.
