We've read a lot of the same books. But what is this book - The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom? I've never heard of it.

It's about an older man dying and meeting 5 influential people in his afterlife who have died as well. I don't remember the end well, but I do remember it was readable, and fairly enjoyable. It was a school book.

Honestly for that style of story, I'd rather read The Thing They Carried by Tim O'Brien. That was actually a very good - but hard to read - book I read for school. Heck, I say read 'em both if you can handle the wartime/death stuff.

My highschool was good about mixing more modern release books with old classics. We'd read the Crucible and then something like the Bean Trees.
