Today we will be going from

Open your base icon.
Grey/blue images with simple backgrounds work best.
Duplicate layer >> set to soft light
Open texture 01 >> set to screen
Go to eraser >> select the soft edged round brush >> size 37 >> set opacity to %44
Erase some of texture 01 so that the swan shows through better
open texture 02 >> set to overlay >> erase any of the dots which obscure the swans
open texture 03 >> set to screen >> erase any of the dots which obscure the swans
open texture 04 >> set to screen
FINISHED
