Tiger & Bunny Live Stage Casting Announced

So I just found out on ANN that the casting for the Live Stage is announced. As announced before, the role of Kotetsu and Barnaby is reprising their role in the anime and stage which is a fortunate/unfortunate situation for me (´・ω・`)

Oh wow, Hirata and Morita's looks pretty good! I wonder how they are gonna do the princess carry lol, and the height difference between Kotetsu and Bunny.

Well since they did the Princess carry in their hero suits maybe the action stuntmen can pull it off ^_^ I mean the princess carry is almost the highlight of the series lol. They even made a pin for it.

Everything it's ok except for our dear oji-san and Barnaby (they could just put him blond damn it). And yes, this reminds me that evil AV as well...

This is going to be a live stage play, kind of like a broadway musical except not really. They're going to play live from August 24-September 1 in Tokyo Zepp Diver City.

They all look great to me! I'm amazed they managed to find people so alike the characters. I may have fallen in love with sky high all over again though...

You're probably one among the few that likes the casts lol... I think the only characters spot on are Barnaby (if he's blond) Paolin, Nathan, and maaaaybe Karina and Antonio. Sky High is cool, but can't really pass as an American haha...

Nothing when translating from anime to real life is going to be absolutely perfect. As long as they make a genuine effort to be close and capture the spirit for the characters as well as the appearance I appreciate it. Sky High isn't american but the big cheesy grin matches up perfectly. I really think the fandom focuses too much on perfect appearance Heroes. We have them already in the anime. They're not gonna get more perfect than that. But I look at these actors and just from a picture,I feel that the energy they're all presenting is right. The only one I'm not sure about is Antonio, I'm not really getting his personality out of that picture but I'm reserving judgement until I see what the actor can do. :)

You're right, I'm still hoping that this is his real hair and they're going to dye it blond for the stage. If this is a wig then they need to find a better wig for him -_-

OH GOOD GOD. I was thinking all day wha the hell made me so uncofortable while looking at Hirata and couldn't figure it out and oh good God, y'all are right - it's because of that damn AV... It's coming back to haunt us in more ways than one Dx

I pretty much have no qualms about th rest of them, except that I cannot handle Shota for the life of me Dx Plus he looks too old for the part, but, eh, what are you going to do..

^ THIS. When I first saw it I was like, WHAT? He looks like he would look better as Lunatic, not Ivan. Ivan has such a shota-ish face I almost thought he'd be better off played by a girl.

And dat AV. I could get by not thinking of fatty deadfish Kotetsu when I watch the stage.

Dear Lord, finally someone who agrees about Shota! I tell you, that man made me FNARR far too many times and his endevours in live-action "Fujimi" just left me cringing. He is too old for the roles he lands. And I am definitly seeing your point w/him being Yuri. On the bright side - he'd have the mask on for more than half his stagetime!

It's like all of our decisions about that AV just rounded themselves up and started having a hoot with our minds! I have no idea why I even watched that [oh, the ways cat bit it for curiosity, let me count you them] and I lamented it immediately, with the whole thing just singing "I TOLD YOU SO, YOU FOOL"; and now it's like THE RETURN of the Bad Decision [TM], sponsored by those... people who made the damn thing. Seriously, that crap made me so uncomfortable, I was unable to read T&B fanfiction for quite a while. Remembering it every time I lay eyes on Hirata... oh my... I am definitely going to have to brave the stage play with some friends xD
