I want a time jump so Kotetsu and Karina doesn't feel as creepy as it does in my head. Because that girl really loves Kotetsu. And seriously, who can blame her.

If Kotetsu doesn't lose his powers at the end of the series I'll actually be pretty disappointed. Not only will that feel like a copout, but Kotetsu deciding that he doesn't have to be a superhero to be a good dad seems pretty important to his own character development.

This was one of my main concerns about having a second season announced so hastily.

i'm still not sure if kotetsu would (completely lose his power). i mean at the end of this season maybe, but in season 2 maybe there's possibility that he regain his power.

when i'm thinking that he once have red aura like Jake, i start wondering, maybe there's level 2 stage for NEXT evolution and maybe losing power is the first stage of it. those red aura bugging, seriously...

my only hope for season 2 is... please no changing the main character into emo-emo-youngster-teenage-guy/gal... i follow this series because the moe ojisan charm's has been calling me. and its refreshing to have elder as main chara instead emo-teen as usual in anime departement

and yes fire emblem episode,... his knowledge and way for gathering info, should make him important somehow, and furthermore... he's CEO? (is this right?) now this guy remind me to Barney in How i met your mother tv series lol

You have a point when it comes to the aura thing, I'd completely forgotten about it! And Sunrise seems to have forgotten (or pretending to have forgotten) too, since I don't remember it being shown again after the first time... the matter of Kotetsu's powers suddenly becoming stronger (despite them lasting for a shorter time) seems to have been put aside too. I actually wouldn't mind if Kotetsu lost his powers at the end of s1 and then regained them (or gained a different power, idk) in s2...

If Kotetsu loses his power, I think it's only going to be a temporarily lost.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if everyone lost their powers in the last episode. What I'm thinking is perhaps Maverick was responsible for the appearance of NEXT 46 years ago (he's certainly old enough). And with his death, all NEXT lose their power until the start of Season 2 when their powers suddenly returns.

I freely admit I'm a sucker for that type of plot though, so it's probably just wishful thinking.
