Remember this post ? Turns out that GJ is beyond repairable (they said so here), and everyone is moving to InsaneJournal.

"Persecuting fandom" my ass. Anyone who says that needs to live in a war-torn country and get some real problems. Some yahoo made an animated icon to commemorate the "persecution" of fandom with a variation on Niemoller's poem ("When they came for the Communists, I did not speak up because I was not a Communist"). It started with something like, "First they came for the 'deviants' and I did not speak up," etc and descended to an even more appalling level of wankery. It was a 100% serious project, by the way. I don't get furious often, but MAN OH MAN.

In short, if these losers ran off to GJ and really expect things to be better on IJ, they deserve all the bullshit that comes with it. I should also thank them for destroying my writing journal on GJ, which I had long before they flew into their sissy-panic over LJ's Nazi Communism.

I'm with you. I have basic knowledge of what happened during Strikethrough 07, but every single time someone explains to me how fandoms are being persecuted, I just roll my eyes. I find the whole situation ridiculous. For me, fanfic writing is just a hobby, but some people take it as their whole lives. Those people need to get a life, seriously.
