I was driving by myself to meet friends after school one day this week. As I neared a normally-busy intersection, I was startled to realize my car was the only one in sight in all four directions. In the ninety seconds between this stop sign and my arrival at the next intersection - a five points crossroad with traffic lights - I'd convinced myself

In high school I was totally into Disturbing Behavior, Scream, The Sixth Sense, all that. Even though they definitely did scare me... But I've gotten to be sorta the same. I've never liked Child's Play & when we saw The Grudge, I don't think my head left the spot behind Hubby's shoulder. Some scary stuff I can still handle, but not as much as I used to.

I'll seriously walk around singing that when Hubby's not home & it's dark and there are Noises and Creepy Feelings.

My favorite part of Halloween is the candy. The CREEPY I can do without! (in fact, I banned scary costumes in my classroom using the excuse that it might scare the KINDERGARTENERS. Yes, I hide behind five-year-olds...)
