They usually just hatch on their own, the book says.

These Pokémon are very different from animals back home... they don't need much nurturing. As long as you feed them, exercise them, and be nice to them, they don't need much other help to grow..

I have raised chickens and roosters before. I think the eggs have the same properties. I can lend you some warm fabric if you like.
