I do hope they go back to Chin's past at some point, in some way beyond vague stoic pain. I hope the writers are too smart to try the 'Or maybe he DID do it! Huh? Huh? Made you wonder!' approach, but I'll take even that.

Hee! I'd probably have missed it if I wasn't so thoroughly prepped. Those are definitely the kinds of things where fandom always has your back.
I never know what to think about Steve as a leader, really. He doesn't really do leadership in the show - nobody on the team is portrayed as needing management or even direction, just someone to make the decisions and allocate roles. So really kind of like a well-trained military unit, I guess, which is what he's used to. And now I kind of hope they go a direction that means he needs to do more than that, at least once.
