I have written all of ten words towards my Marvel Big Bang - which is going to be Black Jewels MCU, I'm afraid; I don't think Maria & Bucky is going to be long enough

I'm kind of excited to hear about another Black Jewels fusion piece, actually. :)

Is your writing space in your new house likely to be more suitable for winter writing? Of course, I imagine the weather will be warmer by the time you're moved in and have it all set up.

It's a much smaller house, easier to warm as a whole, and in sections. So there's definitely that. And yes, it will be warmer in six months. But six months after that it will be all chilly again. So... :)

Steve and Maria seem like they'd be harder to do after the events of Cap. 2, but I could buy something happening during the movie.

House things are always annoying to deal with.

ETA: Doesn't the marvel bang have a 10k minimum tho? Cause if not, I'm probably gonna be screwed too. XD

Yes, MarvelBang has only a 10k minimum. Mine will no doubt be much longer, but I'm almost at 7k so I should be able to present SOMETHING that looks like 80% of what they expect -- then I can add ... Last year I submitted a 22k draft, and the whole thing ended up at 35k... No one called me out on that, I'm happy to say!

Ah okay, good, so I remembered that right. I kinda, uh, haven't even actually started yet, so it's hard to figure out lengths, but I guess if it does happen it won't go much over 10k. But heh, I'm familiar with submitted drafts suddenly exploding, but as long as everything goes smoothly and you end up posting when you should and supply your artist with a draft on time, etc., I doubt any mod would bite your head off. XD

which seems to be gathering a little bit of tailwind after the revelation of the missing scene where Jasper accuses Maria of disloyalty to SHIELD (oh, the irony). However, I seem to be developing Maria Hill backstory related to that scene instead. And, I guess, kind of related to Steve/Maria, but only sidewise.

It'd read it.

And yeah, I am forever headdesking at the things fandom (at large) is interested in vs. what I want them to be writing.
