The ABC leftist? Or the Guardian, come to that? I'm guessing she's never actually come across any actually leftist news sources! :D It's a long time since I've seen the SBS (not available here, nor in my ill-serviced rural town in Australia), but I think it's a genuine National Cultural Treasure.

I looked at the ownership of livescience.com, but didn't get any further back than the company Future Publishing, which also publishes various games and media mags, like What Hi-Fi?and was founded by Chris Anderson, of TED Talks.

This woman is of the tribe of Evangelical Christians of the kind who think their Way Of Life is under threat and must be protected at all costs.

So, yes, the ABC, SBS, and the Guardian are leftist. So is the mainstream media.

Minor point, just to amuse you: when I was looking to see who owned livescience.com I came across an article promoting it (in the pretty conservative Washington Times). What amused me was the headline:
"Newsy Live Science quenches curiosity"
which I expect is true, but not in the way they mean! :D
