so everyone is freaking out about how The Golden Compass is anti religion and so on, and even some women at my work were talking about how they are going to boycott it. fuck that, it just makes me want to see it more. PLUS. there are polar bears fighting ANDDDD Gandalf does a voice. Gandalf rules.

Yeah, I think my boyfriend and I are going to see it. He seems really interested in the movie.

As for the reactions - it doesn't surprise me that many people here in the midwest would feel that way. People here don't seem to have a clue. It makes me miss the "pop cultur-ed" forwardness of Los Angeles - if that makes any sense.

yea, no kidding. yesterday at my work they were discussing it, and i was about to say something but i decided i didn't want to get STONED. forget that.
