[RL with Tyki]

Chika hit 'post' and leaned back in his chair, snickering. Man, whoever that chick from 'Fire Nation' was supposed to be, she sure couldn't take a joke. And all that crap about everyone being her underlings. Chika hoped she was just a character, because otherwise she was an unbelievably stuck-up, spoiled bitch ( Read more... )

And then a giant column of light appeared. It started at the floor and grew towards the ceiling, sprouting a few strange geometric branches, one of which had a giant number '306'. It was flat, but tall, brushing the ceiling of Chika's bedroom.

Tyki Mikk stepped through it. He didn't bother to make himself look human, so his skin was dark and the crown was fully visible. He wore a top hat, his hair brushed back off of his forehead and tamed by the hat.

He was smoking a cigarette. It wasn't one of his hand-rolled types, but a manufactured cigerette he had bought in Zechs' Earth. They were so much more convenient and less messy that he'd given up on loose tobacco almost completely, though he didn't like the flavour quite as much. He also loved his lighter.

He dragged on the cigarette and blew a cloud of smoke as he looked around the bedroom, his gold eyes finally landing on the boy.

"Yo."

Equally golden eyes stared back at him from under a messy shock of white and black hair. Chika had tried to jump up in surprise when the... thing... had appeared in his room, and gotten caught on the edge of his desk. As a result he was currently sitting sprawled in an ungainly heap on the floor, tangled with his desk chair, gaping up at the inhuman-looking stranger.

He said the first thing that came into his head. "You have got to be fucking kidding me."

Tyki grinned down at him. His reaction really was hysterical - much funnier then he'd actually expected. He really was rather innocent about such things, wasn't he? An unremarkable boy, with no experience with the supernatural, he'd warrant.

"About what? Are you saying you didn't believe me?" he asked, smirking.

He held out his hand in a silent offer to help the boy to his feet.

"No I didn't fucking believe you! Are you..." 'Nuts', was the word he'd been about to put at the end of that sentence.

And yet, here was a guy who didn't appear to be human, who had just stepped through the wall to get there, from gods-knew where. Maybe 'nuts' wasn't the right word after all.

For a long moment Chika just stared at the offered hand, honestly not sure what to do with it. The guy - Tyki - looked European, after you got past the weird skin colour, though he'd said he was in Japan. Was he offering to shake hands?

Finally he got it, though, and reached to accept the hand up. His pride was already smarting. Getting help up would sting less than making an idiot of himself tripping over the chair again.

Tyki hauled the boy to his feet and released his hand, smiling. "Am I, what?" he asked, his tone turning teasing. "Maybe the question you should be asking yourself is whether you're crazy."

He pondered the room, giving Chika some time to recover himself, and poked brazenly at the items on Chika's desk, picking up a framed picture of him, a little girl and a blond man. Family? He contemplated the photo.
