Question for knitters

Okay, so I'm going to start myself a blanket. A full-size one, so it's going to take me forever. But my question is this: the pattern says the finished size will be 45" x 60", so.. what size cables should I use on my interchangable needles to accommodate for this without being too much cable? Would 36" be enough? Too much? I really have no ( Read more... )

okay, sorry, I don't mean to be discouraging. You are probably much more efficient than I am. ;) I am no help, but that pattern is pretty :)

Oh I don't know about efficient...hee. Impatient, yes, efficient, not so much. The idea of doing it in one piece is daunting, but I don't see a way to split it in half.

I just want my own homemade afghan that I made myself....

oh. perty! I love making afghans btw. a house is not a home without one. or two. or three. I even have one in my car now that I think about it.

you could certainly try with a 36" though I don't think that I would go smaller... however, it might be handy to go to a 40(?) to allow you to more easily spread out your work to survey, but I think that won't be too difficult on the 36" either.
