so, a few months ago, my remotes weren't working. i did the obvious: replace the batteries. i also had to clean out the battery juice that had leaked. it seems i didn't do a good enough job. the dvd remote spring got some juice on it, and is now corroded thru. even freshly charged rechargeable batteries give nothing.
