When Mel wakes up on Valentine's morning, there is a conversation heart on her pillow. It says 'True Love'. If she sits up, she'll knock a half dozen of them off the covers on top of her and onto the floor

Triv had let her have the day off, because she knew it was One of Those Days for Mel, and Mel had wanted to be with Gibbs for a little while.

When she wakes up, she blinks at the hearts, but can't help but smile at the line of them leading her to the kitchen. She picks them up to avoid the cats and kittens eating them, and by the time she's to the kitchen, she's got a handful of them.

She can smell the chocolate chip pancakes from the stairs, and she gives him a smile under a mussed up head of hair.

"Good morning," Mel says, walking over to him and wrapping her arms around him. "Mmm. My favorites." she gives him a kiss on the cheek.

He hugs back and nuzzles her mussed hair as if it were strands of silk. "You smell good. Happy Valentine's Day. Do you want your presents first, or breakfast?"

Mel closes her eyes at the hug and nuzzling. "I do? And breakfast will get cold if we wait... Breakfast sounds good." She lets go of him and smiles, still a little sleepy, but waking up.

"Yes'm." He releases her and smiles, turning to flip the pancake hurriedly. "I made orange juice, but that might be a little weird with chocolate...maybe milk? Or coffee."
