SGA Question

How much time passed between The Return Part 1 and The Return Part 2? I mean the time that passed for the characters, not the time between the airing of the episodes.

I was sort of under the impression that it was a couple of months, but General O'Neill and Richard Woolsey couldn't have stayed that long on Atlantis, could they? On the other hand, ( Read more... )

If you ever figure out SGA's messed up timeline, let me know. it's driving me crazy since I like to write SG-1/SGA fic.

Heh. Attempting to figure out how the timelines of the two shows fit together is something that I like to do when I can't sleep. My brain usually gives up and shuts down for the night right around the time I try to understand the presence of Jack on Atlantis in The Return and in the SGC in The Shroud :)

(Timelines in general drive me crazy.)

About six weeks passed between The Return Part 1 and 2. I think Woosley was there most of the time while O'Neill only came in the week or so before the Replicator attack. That was my impression from the episode anyway.

So do you mean in between Pt1 and Pt2 or that it took a total of 6 weeks from the start of Pt1 to the finish of Pt2? I'm always curious in timelines and it sounds like the 6 week time could work from the start of pt 1 through the finish of pt 2.

But unless I'm remembering wrong (which is possible) I can't see how there could be 6 weeks difference from the end of Pt1 to the beginning of Pt 2. I only watched the eps once, though.

Sorry, I meant six weeks passed between the time the expedition went back to Earth in Part 1 and when Part 2 started. I looked up the quote just to be sure that it wasn't a fan thing.

BECKETT: It’s only been six weeks so I’m still settling in, but it’s good. Interesting work, kind people.

From when Carson's at Elizabeth's apartment.

Thanks! That helps a lot and that makes sense :)

Now I just have to figure out how it matches with SG-1 LOL

As was already mentioned, it was about six weeks. Pretty sure it's cited in the script, too (I could check later to make sure)

I'm going to have to rewatch the episodes in question anyway because I seem to be confusing a lot of stuff. I was convinced it was Ronon and not Teyla who was considering joining the Genii, but I was wrong.

Thanks for helping! Timelines give me headaches ;)
