Potato Salad

A friend of mine and I had a discussion this weekend about what to put in potato salad. We were not in agreement on putting peas in potato salad. What do you put your potato salad (please answer)?

Yes, he is... and I would never put peas in potato salad either... not that I like it without peas either, but it'd be worse with!

Alton Brown did a show on potatoes that aired recently... if you go to http://www.foodnetwork.com/ and click on the Good Eats link (about half way down the page in a brown box with Alton all spiffi/ed up) you can get their recipie for Potato Salad - the episode aired on 8/24/06 and was called "This Spuds for you Too". Peas are NOT an ingredient!

I never make it because I hardly ever eat it. For a German lad, I don't take to the stuff too well! Not sure what my mom uses, you'll have to ask her next time you come up.

egg is tasty in potato salad. So are red potatoes. I vote for them over regular russets any day.
