[Don sounds extremely cheerful, almost perky. As he goes on, that perkiness slowly becomes drier.]

[ Riddler's honestly interested because it's ~science~ but by now she can't help the sarcastic tone of her voice. ]

That was quite informative.

[Don's...pretty much the same way]

Mm. It's always good to hear that the information I attempt to pass along is grasped.

I admit that biology is not my area of expertise. It's still interesting, though.

It's not entirely mine either, admittedly, but knowing about my own anatomy seemed important.

If I'm guessing correctly by the tome, I could probably agree with your sentiment.

So are you a girl turtle now?

[He knows you're not Mikey but he has to ask.]

Considering the other..."reports" today, it's probably safe to assume so. Yes.

Well, if you can't really tell... I guess you're one of the lucky ones.

[King's just like... what do I say to the turtle that might b e a girl.]

Well, it's not that I can't really tell. I'm certain I'm female now. But it's subtle, just slight changes in my center of balance, my skeletal structure, my shell, et cetera. Noticeable, but not obvious. But I am lucky I suppose, since species with more obviously differed genders must be having a much harder time.

The more you know.

Does it work on things that aren't turtles but sorta like turtles? We have things back home that're like turtles.

Except they eat people.

I...wouldn't know? Possibly, depending on their environmental and physical similarities, though I can't give a conclusive answer without knowing the species you're talking about.

Turtles where I'm from don't eat people, however.

They're called Adamantaimai. They're like giant turtles, but with horns and sharp teeth.

I can sorta draw one for you?

tic_tech_turtle September 7 2010, 02:52:25 UTC
Um, sure.

If they're solely carnivorous however, then there's already a big difference. The turtles I'm describing are omnivores.

Why are you interested in distinguishing gender?
