Amen. I've been impressed by Archbishop Roger Mahoney's comments on this subject. It's not possible to be Christian and obey this law.

It's not possible to be a generous ethical human being and obey this law, regardless of one's religion or lack thereof. This essentially turns any caregiver into a member of Bush's police-state enforcers. Which I'm sure was the whole idea in the first place.

Resistance is not futile. It's mandatory, if you think and have a care.

Oh, I was wondering how you'd tracked me down here, but the answer is obvious, now that you point it out.

In a sort of Ayn Rand-y altruism bad relentless self-centered capitalism good ethical system, this makes sense...in a decent people behave decently ethical system, it's just pug ugly.

And when I talk about Christianity, in this context, it's because both Rebecca and I are -- and also because much of the organized opposition to this law is coming, not from the Left, but from Christian groups.
